Case Studies
Customised Freight/Delivery Solutions
1. Laserlite Australia Pty Ltd
Problem
The supply of plastic pellets in 750 kg bags required manual handling to transfer from container to store. This caused high labour overheads, Occupational health and safety risks, and a decline in efficiency due to the labour involved in this task when they could be completing more valuable tasks.
Solution
Product delivered in bulk 18 tonne in 20" containers. Delivered on tipper shelf allowing for direct transfer into silo within 1 hour with no labour required as product was pumped directly from containers.
2. Halex Flooring Pty Ltd
Problem
Ruman Ply Wood is delivered in 25 tonne lots by a side loader. This is inefficient as the whole shipment needs to be stored.
Solution
Containers de-stuff at our Dandenong Terminal and trans-ship to taut lines. The excess is then held on shore until needed, which means more free production space. It is more efficient and faster to get material off taut liner than to de-stuff and take to production.
